Maxxis Minion DHR II 3C MaxxGrip DoubleDown Tubeless Tyre in Black

Brand:Maxxis

Code:VARMINIONDHR23CMTDDBLK

The trail version of the Maxxis Minion DHR II features the same tread pattern as its downhill counterpart, but utilises lighter weight casings.

With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. Refined and redesigned, it is ready to shred any line with wider shoulder knobs for better cornering and paddle-like centre knobs for improved braking. The ramped and siped tread ensures these tyres roll fast and track straight under braking.

3C MaxxTerra is an intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tyres. It is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip. For those seeking the ultimate in grip, 3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compounds to offer slow rebound properties for unparalleled traction in downhill applications.

DoubleDown (DD) is the next step in the evolution of the dual-ply tyre casing for enduro and downhill racing. Two 120 TPI casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert provide the rider with the support and protection of a downhill tyre, but in a lighter package. Alternatively, EXO protection features an extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls, ensuring performance remains unaffected on rocky, treacherous trails.

Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tyre's tread layout and profile on today's modern, wider rims. Traditional tyres designed around older, narrower rims can create an overly square tyre profile; WT tyres are optimised for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm.

Tubeless Ready tyres provide the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction, offers lower rolling resistance, and reduces the chance of flatting. A Tubeless Ready bead securely locks to the rim and the foldable bead provides additional weight savings.
